At Ritual Meals, we are deeply committed to environmental responsibility through sustainable packaging and low waste practices, both in and out of the kitchen.
Our food containers include:
- 100% Compostable meal containers, made of fiber and plant starch. Our meal trays, lids, sauce cups and lids are certified 90 day compostable in a commercial facility. Please do not place them in trash or landfill, which doesn't guarantee proper conditions for composting.
- 100% Compostable snack bags, made of paper and plant starch (usually corn)
- 100% Recyclable glass mason jars. Please wash and reuse these beautiful jars, or recycle them.
Our delivery packing materials include:
- 100% Recyclable shipping boxes, made of corrugated cardboard. Sealed with 100% Compostable or Recyclable water-based packing tape
- 100% Recyclable insulated box liners made with corrugated cardboard
- 100% Compostable soy-based ink
- Freezer-safe gel packs containing 100% Drain-safe gel (safe to pour down the drain!) inside in 100% Recyclable plastic wrap. Please reuse or recycle the freezer-safe gel packs. To dispose:
- Cut open the outer film
- Pour gel contents into the drain
- Recycle outer plastic
Compostable packaging can be placed in your curbside compost bin, serviced by your local composting facility. (Please do not place them in trash or landfill, which doesn't guarantee proper conditions for composting.)
Recyclable packaging can be placed in your curbside recycling bin, serviced by your local recycling facility.
