  • Does Ritual Meals offer microwavable meals?

    Yes! In February 2021, we switched all of our postpartum meals to fresh format, never frozen, so that you are able to enjoy your meals as soon as they arrive on your doorstep! Your postpartum meals require no prep and can be reheated in the microwave in under 3 minutes. These meals can also be reheated on the stove top or in the oven, if you prefer. 

    Reheating instructions for plated meals arriving in 100% compostable fiber trays:

    • Microwave: Remove the clear lid (also 100% compostable, made from plant starch), and microwave the fiber tray with your meal in it.

    • Stove top: Remove your meal from the tray and heat in a medium-sized pot or pan on medium-low heat for 6-8 minutes until hot.

    • Oven: Remove your meal from the tray and heat in an oven-safe pan or cookie sheet at 350-F for 10-15 minutes until hot.

     

    Reheating instructions for soups and stews arriving in glass jars:

    • Microwave: Pour the soup or stew into your favorite microwave-safe bowl and head until hot.

    • Stove top: Pour the soup into a medium-sized pot or pan and heat on medium-low until hot.

  • How can I share feedback on the meals I’ve had?

  • Do you cater to specific diet plans?

    We don't currently offer postpartum meals sponsored by a specific diet plan like Keto or Paleo, but that doesn't mean our meals won't qualify for those plans. As a general rule, our postpartum food is:

    • Organic or pesticide free
    • Grass-fed or pasture-raised
    • Low gluten
    • No refined sugars
    • Non-GMO

  • Are your products organic?

    Our products are nearly all organic or pesticide free. Because Ritual Meals is a subscription service, our menus change each week. We curate our postpartum menus based on what’s available seasonally from our suppliers, our community of local farms and ranches. While our products are nearly all organic or pesticide free, that is not something we can guarantee for every meal at this time.

    We always strive to ensure that our postpartum meals, snacks, and teas are consistently high quality and clean as possible for our mamas and babies!

  • Do you offer low calorie and low carbohydrate options?

    Due to our postpartum nutritional philosophy, we aren’t offering any “low calorie” or “low carbohydrate” products at this time. We believe that the first year of postpartum is a crucial period for replenishing your nutrient stores, which can support physical recovery and health over the long term.

  • Can I repeat a meal from a previous menu?

    We love hearing about your favorite meals, and do our best to repeat customer favorites! If you really like a dish, be sure to review it by letting us know at info@ritualmeals.com, so that our chefs can get a sense of what you’ve loved. Since our menus change each week due to what is seasonally available from our local farms and ranches, we can’t guarantee a repeat meal but we’ll always make an effort!

  • Do you offer vegetarian options?

    We are not currently offering vegetarian options, but we are working to offer that as soon as possible. While our meals occasionally also qualify as vegetarian or vegan, we do not guarantee options for weekly vegetarian or vegan subscriptions.

  • How does Ritual Meals approach animal welfare?

    We are committed to responsible business practices including the humane treatment of animals. We only source animals that are grass-fed or pasture-raised, and we make an effort to visit all of our farms and ranches in person. We work in close collaboration with our suppliers to ensure that they are following industry-aligned animal welfare standards.

  • How long do I have to reheat the meals?

    Check your reheating instructions on your meal container for the recommended number of days the meal should be reheated after delivery. For guidance on proper ingredient storage, please see: [How should I properly store and handle my meals?].

    We recommend enjoying the postpartum meals in the order they are presented on the menu, for optimal freshness.

  • How do you handle food that contains allergens (like nuts, eggs, and soy)?

    All of our food is prepared and cooked in kitchens that also process eggs, milk, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat and soy. Our kitchens are not certified allergen-free.
